Meet Shammrie and Imani Brown

​

We became friends in college in 2008 and eventually fell in love, leading to our marriage in 2013. While our paths to accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior differed, we both embarked on a journey to fulfill God's purpose for our lives.

 

Shammrie Brown responded to his calling to ministry in 2016, becoming a licensed minister and founding a nonprofit organization to expand the church's outreach and community development efforts on the Southside of Chicago, IL. He holds a Master of Art in Urban Leadership from Northern Seminary and is currently a nonprofit leader, podcast host, and blogger, and serves at his local church.

Imani's passion for serving others and her gift of hospitality have been honed through various leadership opportunities. She managed a local ministry food pantry on the Southside of Chicago, providing food for those in need, before diving back into the marketplace in 2017. Currently, she pursues her love for people, food, and coffee. In her free time, she enjoys creating beautiful memories with her family and friends and traveling to new places.

 

We are blessed to do ministry together and serve as Biblical devotion content writers for the YouVersion Bible App. We also own a Christian company called Good Servants Enterprises LLC, which sells products and provides services to individuals, organizations, and ministries. We are based in Chicago, IL, and are passionate about our work, everyday life, people, each other, and most importantly, Jesus!
